Derrick | principal photographer
My foundation leading up to becoming a photographer has been built by many years of experience in the field. This has led me to become a writer and educator in the global photography space. Including at one point contributing weekly to leading photography site Fstoppers.com.
In combination with my love of capturing the character of people, and their emotion through portrait work is my passion for storytelling. My portraits incorporate a heavy use of the surrounding environment to allow for richer context within the overall scene. The color tones I utilize when hand retouching photographs are inspired by the beauty found in cinema films, which I feel further enhance the image character.
I have built a career from person-to-person relationships, and I will strive to deliver during our time together. Employing my experience and passion all in service of your photography needs.
